WE'RE BACK IN MASS!!!! with an ALL-NEW WORKSHOP!
We completely revamped the seminar with all new information, a more in-depth look at the business side of music photography as well as more in-depth knowledge in how to break into the industry and get your first big job!
The workshop will take place on Saturday September 11th and Sunday September 12th in, and around my studio in Chicopee, MA
Tickets are $300 and are available below - $250 if youve come to a workshop or seminar before - and a special $200 ticket is available for current students at the Hallmark institute of photography
During the seminar/workshop you will learn all you possibly can about being a photographer in the music industry, and most importantly how to turn your music photography work into a full time business, with a full and in-depth seminar covering every single step one would need to take to become a professional music photographer. Covering everything from getting started, how to set up a photo shoot, posing, invoicing, getting paid, a full walkthrough of concert photography (with two different views on how to shoot them), a lighting tutorial (with a slew of different equpment including a live shoot done by both Gage and Jeremy as well as hands-on photo shoot (you shoot) with a band, and even file workflow, and a post production editing tutorial with lightroom/photoshop
The first day will be a full comprehensive seminar with both Gage Young and Jeremy Saffer covering every single aspect of being a photographer in the music industry, and everything you need to know up to the concert or photo shoot.
The second day will be a live photo shoot of special guest bands done by both photographers,
with different types of lighting and posing, which serves as a lighting turorial as well as a real look into how we work with bands.
You will also get a chance to apply what you learned by shooting the bands in various situations (in studio, outdoor, on location)
with different types of lighting, JUST ADDED! ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS will be attending and shooting KABOOM FEST! Featuring shadows Fall, Our Last Night,and TONS MORE!

Anyone flying in - you want to fly into Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT. I will be able to get you rides to and from the airport, make sure you fly in early (10th) and fly out after the 12th.
I do have limited space at my house for people who are coming from far distances - for those who need to crash here
Gage Young (Orlando, FL) has photographed bands and other artists for major music publications around the world. His work appears frequently in Alternative Press and has even reached the pages of Rolling Stone in March of 2009. His client list spans from numerous independent and major record labels such as Sony and Fueled by Ramen. Gage has also worked with major marketing companies such as BBDO for projects involving worldwide publishing. Jeremy Saffer (Western, Ma) is known for his work in Outburn magazine, as well as being a contributing photographer for over 10 others (his work have graced of 8 covers in 2009) – as well as his work with a small army of bands, record labels, and music equipment companies.
